Alone in Darkness
The lights are off
Only a lamp light on
It barely lit half the room
Rain is pouring
Sounds like someone is banging on the roof
Thunder booms
Its dark outside
Not a streetlight on
You can’t see a thing
The moon is at its highest peak
I felt nothing
Didn’t feel a thing
The room stood still
I was lying on the bed
Still as a statue
Covered in white sheets
And grey blanket
Too big for me
The air was cold
Enough to make me shiver strait to the bone
I think about her,
What she did to me,
How we used to be close
Now so far.
Too far.
The pain of losing my best friend
Will forever be a burden
