Oceans of blue
frosted with white
all turn black
in the dead of the night.
The sun, and the moon
and the stars that we see
all provide light
and change our scenery.
We cannot see...
We cannot see...
What can we do? Wait for day?
Lightness comes and scares the dark away
now we can see
from the bright of the sun
but it cannot forever be;
the shadows will come, you’d better run.
Prisoners.. lost... no bail- no hope.
You’re STUCK.
Your eyes lose their sparkle.
You can’t feel; you’re numb.
You want to run away, away from someone
that someone is you, a “you” that you don’t recognize
the light is gone that was once in your eyes.
But can you get it back?
only if you win
strength, what you need, is what you lack.
The darkness overpowers you
time and time again
your faith won’t do
you have to find it within
the will to fight
to change
to live!
Find your light
the secret tool
with all your might
kill, then rule.
Rule your life
it is yours you know
it seems... not right
the darkness has made you feel low.
rise up
rise up
strength will be yours
the shadow roars...
it grows weak
as you once were;
but what we seek,
a power of good
is not meek
it makes our cant’s... could.

Going through a dark time, I wrote this. My depression is symbolized as a shadow, a reflection of me, and what people think to be me, but isn't actually the whole picture.
