Favorite Quote:
and hither and thither fly/ mere puppets they who come and go/ at bidding or vast formless things/ that shift the tapestries to' and fro'

The rain in Spain is falling on the plains
The faces leap out of the smattering rain
And the bodies the faces are all wearing chains
Their running and running away from the pain
Their breaking and breaking under the strain
With their limbs going lame
And their keening refrains
And the stabbing of shame
But still they are maimed
Forever are changed
By the great thundering rains
On the great thundering plains

When you look at the rain you have to think about how far its been these drops of water have traveled the world a hundred times over and every drop has touched the skin of a thousand people and this is a poem about those people.
