Set fire to you
You came into my life
You made me feel alive
I felt like our days never needed to end
But sadly they did
I felt like there wouldn't be a better day
Until you told me it would all be ok
I just wanted you to stay
But you had to go
I thought everything was back to normal
For months everything was ok
Until that letter came one day
Worthless, hopeless, lifeless I felt
Nothing I could do would help
The pain was unbearable
Everyday I woke was terrible
I watched my life fall day by day
Till I decided to hear what you had to say
I tried to forgive and forget
Still there was too much regret
Finally I did what I had to
Set fire to you and your memories
