Alone
Alone.
With only my thoughts to keep me company,
Confined in my own mind
Like a goldfish in it’s small bowl.
Desperately trying to escape,
Craving the vasty and freedom of the ocean
But too small, too timid to break free from my comfort zone
I am the goldfish and my mind is its bowl.
I sit and watch the world around me from my bowl
A bowl filled with vast tints, trinkets, and time
But lacking a friend
For now,
I am
Alone
Alone.
Watching relationships forming, people growing up, and changes occurring
Lives being lived.
Yet I feel invisible.
I feel like nobody cares about the useless little fish aimlessly swimming around,
So I just sit and wait.
I wait for the day I will be able to break free
And show the world the real me
I wait for the day
When my problems will go away
But for now,
I am
Alone
