There I was, swimming along
One fin after another
When out of the surface, a splash
My school scattered and I did too
The only thing that turned me around was a certain smell
And that shiny curved pointy object
Some elders call it a hook and to stay away from it
But so shiny, so delicious
I HAD TO HAVE IT
So a bite, OOOOOoowwwwww
“Oh, no! A line drawing me to the surface!”
I don’t have the strength
Out of the water
“I can’t breathe! Nooooo!”
Killed in be a hook what are the odds

I love to fish, so this poem shows how the fish feel when you hook them.
