Fortunately, my room is clean.
Unfortunately, my life’s a mess.

Fortunately, it’s a sunny day.
Unfortunately, my mind is cloudy.

Fortunately, I have lots of friends!
Unfortunately, they’re imaginary.

Fortunately, my boyfriend is like my mom.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a mom.

Fortunately, I have a brother.
Unfortunately, he’s more like a sister.

Fortunately, I got new clothes.
Unfortunately, it’s for my dad’s funeral.

This piece was meant to be sad, but it was also meant to make you laugh, it's kind of bittersweet really. I think I really created this piece because it's sort of like life, there is no fairy tales, and things like this really do happen to people.
