Favorite Quote:
Beauty isn't learning to look like someone else. It's learning to accept yourself.

A fake smile, but I read your eyes.
I don't need you, I realize
I tried and tried, but I just keep breaking
Not understanding why you're still faking
I try not to judge you 'cause it's not my place
But it's so hard 'cause I see no love on your face
Where did you go? I do not know.
Not sure I even miss you anymore
You let feelings steal you away from my heart
You stand right next to me, yet you feel so far
Where did you go? I do not know.
Not sure I even give a care anymore
But obviously I do if I'm writing this letter
Can't say I hate you, but it feels like that weather
This bitterness and rage is only a blanket,
Covering a deeply hurt face.... am I supposed to fake it?

The author's comments:
This poem was written when I was going through a really rough time with my older brother. He used to be my best friend in the whole world, until recently when he got engaged and spends all his time with her. I, eventually, told him how I felt and now we're becoming closer once again.
