War Screams
Screams fill your ears
As you fight for your life.
Your best friend goes down next to you,
And sadly you have to leave him.
Screams around you are never ending.
More people go down
As you listen to the sound of gunshots,
And feel the air from bullets flying past you.
Screams fill the air as we take our last steps,
Hopefully to victory.
You try to ignore them and wonder
What is going to happen?
Screams are starting to disappear,
As you feel warmth by your ribcage.
You take a couple of last steps ignoring it
And you hear one last
Scream not realizing its coming from yourself.
Then you hear the last scream you ever will,
and it slowly fades away, to nothing.
