Water As Myself
Water goes,
It swells and it rolls,
It tumbles, it flows
It’s calm or it’s wavy,
It’s cold or it’s hot
It is what it is,
It becomes what it’s not.
Ever present,
Always there.
Pushing or pulling,
It does not care.
Whether I ride on top
Or sink below
The waves and the spray continue to go.
Rainbows form on the walls of spray,
The seaweed is icky,
But the sand is okay.
I glide across the wakes with a swish and a sway,
As the water dances its own ballet.
I am the water,
ever present, ever changing
Only its reach is ever ranging.
A drop in a pool
Or a drop on the shore
It’s all just water,
It is nothing more.
