When wind is whispering quickly
Through the branches of the trees
And my heart is slowly melting
Like the honey of the bees
And I only wish to hear a song
That recalls a memory
Before my love was lost
And swept
The whisper of the trees

And I sit alone with thoughts now
From a night into a day
Acidic thoughts and feelings
Cause my broken heart decay
And now I feel so empty
With nothing left inside
But burnt and crooked pieces
Of a lonely heart and mind
As the silence dawns upon me
And I long again to see
The days my love; not lost
And swept
The whisper of the trees

And how I wish to find again
That love I could not mend
But through the forests & the fields
That I alone could send
A place that would not haunt me
That couldn't find me out
But now that I can't feel her
Comes to me a sense of doubt
That I should never find a love
That fills an empty me
As well as she; Now Lost and swept
The whisper of the trees

Wherefore has she gone from me?
In The whisper of the trees
Too far now to beg or plead
In The whisper of the trees.
