I come from a family of 9
Where parents didn’t get along,

I come from a household
Where dad was never home,

I come from a sister
Where her biological father treated her wrong,

I come from a mother that stood alone,
I come from a mother who barely smiled,
I come from a mother that struggled from sun up to sun down,
But most of all I come from god and I will always be his child


I made many decisions as a young poet. I decided to use white space and punctuation marks. There is really no rhyme or pattern I can honestly say poetry has changed me. In a few of the poems I wrote I let out my feelings. I also let out my emotions, because that is what poetry is all about.
