"Wisdom begins with the recognition of one's own ignorance." Socrates

I know how weak men are
Why so sad? Why so alone?
The burden of being alive
They would do what they had always done

Men of god and men of war
Together removed from existence
War endures, war is god
War lets them approach the infinite

He imagined, before he got away
Imagination was a killer
You couldn't burn the blame
What could I ask of you that you've not already given?

His knowledge remains imperfect
Be listened to at all he had to lie
No great mystery, much better
The single abiding certainty, men killed and died.

This found poem surged as a response to the study on literature of war. It is my perspective on the crudeness of the situations that war creates.
