The Known Future

I’m moving on,
I finally found the way.
I’m letting go of the life,
I had yesterday.
I take one last look at the,
Past I’ve known.
And then I look at myself,
And see how much I’ve grown.
I had no help from parents,
Along the way.
But I know I’m happy and,
I’m going to be okay.
I move forward along,
The path of life and see hope.
I never thought I’d see this day,
Or know how to cope.
I say goodbye to the self,
I knew before.
And I fly to a better life,
I take that back,
I soar.
