Hidden Lies
They laugh at me and see a joke,
Flashing before their eyes.
They all laugh, and so do I,
But it’s all just hidden lies.
When will they notice I’m not okay,
That I’m hurting inside.
The pain gets worse every day.
The longer I force it to hide.
My voice is numb, my soul’s
Almost dead.
All this pain is usually left unsaid,
I wish it were easy, but
Nothing ever can be.
A whisper in the air’s breeze,
That’s all I ever will be.
