My Home
The place no one knows
a place where the sunshine never goes
where my soul knows
its called home
where a child can always laugh and her eyes will reflect like glass
have I told you its called home
the place where I believe love to be the unknown
Its sadness that gives into your soul when the door creeks open and your father isn't home
so when you walk into the hall your mother isn't gone
she sits on the floor with her arms ready to hold the unbearable weight her first born holds
her skin soft against yours and your hair falls like a curtain as she lays you down
once more you think back where's daddy? Is he home? she simply ignores and sings the sorrow her heart holds and it begins to rain for you feel it on your cheeks as you sleep but you taste it and its humane
