Black & White
Black is old
Black is cold
Black is an endless echo
A looming shadow
Engulfing those in darkness
A blanket of blackness
White is light
Cheers and smiles
Stretching across the sky for miles
That is all there ever is.
Black and White
Black and White
There is only black and white…
One or the other
A father, a mother
This or That
Left or Right
There is only black and white…
But when they kiss
It is often missed
We gaze away from the sad gray
Or perhaps if we learn to stay
And look their way…
It will be the day we finally distinguish color
