no more
i tried and gave the strength needed to survive
But some where along the road i saw the exit sign
i couldn't believe what was before my eyes
yet my heart told me to say goodbye
the tears i cried that night seemed so helpless so light
no one came out not a single flie
so i opened my arms and soared through the sky
i went to a place where only i could hide
away from the world and its horrid sight
it wasn't paradise it seemed so cold and i realized
that life is a tale
it grows as long as you want it to but at some point it'll shed its scales
and when it does look back and see all the marks left on that old skin of yours
how the scabs represent your endless struggle to erase the signs of failure
but now with your new skin intact you can breath freely without a gasp you can laugh and run without a glance back to what seemed so fatal but now is a mile back
