This new experience
I have no idea
The start of something new
What am I doing to myself
Walking in the door, seeing other eager faces
Dragging my feet, this is all so new
Smiles start coming my way
Inappropriate jokes are whispered
“Who is this girl?”
“Dibs on the new girl!”
I’m unique to them
I don’t belong here
Being distinctive
I’m alone
Determind, positive
Scared, insecure
Putting one foot in front of the other
Wanting to turn back with every step
Let’s make the best of this
I’m going to die.
