The Unachievable Prize
Her eyes beckoned, like the smell of gasoline
Quick to meet your senses
The beauty of her eyes makes it hard to ignore
With a look that strikes your soul
Everyone knows she gets everything she wants
Nothing in this world could keep her from getting what she wanted
Until the one day at the diner
She approached him, only to get shut down
Yet, not a word was spoken between them
The girl that followed him after was all that she had to see
With a smile that couldn’t compare
The girl claimed what was hers, and was proud of it
