lovely days go to waste
when that love that was once so strong
transforms into rage
when that love that festered in your heart
was just all in your head
when that love is caged
and the feelings left for dead
they wither and fall
the mountains bow down to the seas
and whats left scatters in the breeze
there's nothing left to call
and the tears don't seem to matter
when its a flood not a rain
that destroys with ease
the cavities in your heart
once filled with that sweet love
now brim with the pain
may the doves carry away that lost love
may you never find it again
for it breaks you
slowly
and consumes the life you learned to live again
