"Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding." -Khalil Gibran

I lost my temper, my mom I blamed
I've been so selfish, I'm so ashamed
I broke a guy's heart saying our love was just a game
I am now alone, I'm the one to blame
I got jealous of a girl, so her hair I maimed
She cried so hard, I felt so ashamed
I punched a girl when I got really mad
And bruised her up pretty bad
I couldn't be tamed
Now I am in the Principal's office so ashamed
An innocent guy asked me to the prom
I laughed in his face and said, "Take your mom!"
As a tear trickled down his face
My common sense told me, "Your being a disgrace!"
I told a guy I would show up for a date, but I never came
Now I am single and so ashamed
I pretended to be friends with a geek
And then I laughed in her face and called her a freak
I put on a tough act but deep inside I'm lame
For all the hurtful things I did, I deserved to be shamed
I swear this isn't the real me
I don't understand why I had been so mean

The author's comments:
I wrote this as a message to the people being bullied: that bully's have and always will suffer in some way, from the consequences of picking on people. They are very insecure and have poor self-esteem. This poem is also a message to all bullies everywhere: You put out bad energy, expect it to return back to you as a consequence.
