Tornado: Haiku Story
The stillness rises
The air sleeping while it can
Nature plots its course
Emotions strain taut
A beastly silence stabs deep
Counting the moments
Air springs through the trees
Disruptive of Earth’s aura
Screams, cries, falls, crashes
Wholly holey house
Windows scorned after defeat
And fear fills the streets
Darkness to plan in
To remove, rebuild, replace
And Mother walks free
