Be Grateful
Your words can make a difference,
Your thoughts
Can change the world,
your smile
Can make a person’s day
all it needs is for you to start the fire

Being in a hurry can blind people
In more ways than one

Take a second and think about it
We get up every morning,
Did we even thank God for another day?
Maybe, Maybe not.

I know people complain
How they don’t have the
Latest and the greatest thing,

Just think,
On the other side,
Someone is hardly getting by.

But yet that person who is wishing and wanting,
He doesn’t even know how ungrateful he sounds
Only if he knew,

We’re blind by the material world of nothingness
Nothing is ever going to be good enough!
We always want more,
But why?
Blessed we are but we don’t even know it

In a third world country
There is a child that just wants a bed to sleep on .
Instead of a cold, hard, dirt floor

We can walk down a city street
and act like we see nothing at all
It’s crazy how blind we can be
Talking back to our parents: it’s no big deal right?
Wrong.
We have gotten blind to that too
We take advantage and
Forget who to respect them.
Let’s try to see eye to eye with them.
Know that they only do it out of love

How can we say that it’s okay
To kill a child in the mother’s womb,
When we have proven
It’s a human at the moment of conception?
Were blind to it

By the very actions we take (the choices we make )
And how we solve our problems
We’re blinding ourselves)

Let’s open up our eyes,
Change the world,
And appreciate what we have
And be grateful.
