Thoughts
Thoughts:
The road ahead of me never ends.
It is just a straight path.
No turns, no curves, no bends.
No scenery to look at, it doesn't change.
Only left with my thoughts.
The thoughts that could kill.
They swarm my brain like a herd of killer bees.
Bad thoughts, dark thoughts, indecisive thoughts.
Hours after hours the road doesn't change,
Hours after hours my thoughts are still there.
There to taunt me, to control me, to make me fear myself.
My brain seems to run everything.
I'm shaking with frustration,
My whole body's weak.
'I'm going crazy' I thought to myself.
I let out a scream.
I stop the car and pull over.
I get some air, trying to clear my head.
And that’s when I realize,
I’m stuck.
I’m stuck within myself.
I’m stuck with my own thoughts.
Thoughts that could kill.
