A Forest of Destruction
It is impossible to control fire.
Fire causes much destruction.
It can tear down an entire forest
In a matter of seconds with its heat.
It leaves nothing but burns
In its destructive path of flame.
As it travels, each flame
Grows bigger. The cause of the fire
Is not known. It continues to burn
And lick up the trees with destruction.
The poor animals cannot stand the heat
So they leave their safe home in the forest.
They move on to a new forest.
Sad because their forest has gone up in flames.
If only, if only they could stand the heat
They would have been able to stay through the fire.
But it caused too much destruction
And their homes were burned.
Trees, bushes, leaves, all burned.
Slow animals left behind in the forest.
They lay upon all of the destruction
Hoping someone will put out the last flame.
Never before have they experienced fire
But now they know they do not like the heat.
If only, if only they could stand the heat.
It caused everything to die and burn.
No more homes because of the fire.
Moving to a new forest
Hoping it doesn’t become engulfed in flame
Too. The animals can’t stand anymore destruction.
The fire caused too much destruction.
The animals could not stand the heat.
If only, if only they could’ve endured the flame.
The forest was badly burned.
Animals had to find a new forest.
All because of this relentless fire.
