Teach me what love is
Hands interlaced with passion filled eyes
Smooth fingers match up with rough skin
With kisses, each sweeter than the last
A romance right out of the movies
But deceitful eyes and hurtful lies
Tell the real story
Of fooling around with other soft hands
Knowing that you’ll never be caught
Cause that will ruin you plans
Of playing the same stupid game with heartbroken players
And when you’re done you’ll go back to ‘the one’
Who doesn’t know a thing about your manipulating
Of those poor girls who believe that their you’re world
And your relationship with your “one” had swirled
out of place
So there’s no better cure that their touch and a smile on their face
You twist my view of how love can be true
But what can I do stop this all
When you’re hand in hand walking down the hall
Tell her? And watch her heart fall
To the ground and shatter
But in the end that will be my head on the platter
Cause I’m a heartbroken player that went on this ride
Friends by day with a secret to hide
I though you wouldn’t keep this up for long
Cause somewhere in your heart you knew this was wrong
But I was mistaken and I got scared
You forgot who she was and didn’t even care
So I became quite and didn’t make a sound
No good can come from this if it got around
But before I break the good and watch your relationship bust and fizz
I want to thank you for teaching me what love is.
