Broken Jewels and Frozen Clocks
Her life is a run down house,
 Full of past forgotten.
 Here it is quiet as a mouse
 The walls completely rotten. 
 
 A dining room table,
 His rocking chair-
 It all looks stable,
 But no one's there. 
 
 A bedroom with lace lying on the floor-
 Her dresser battered and scarred.
 The lies that shook her to the core,
 A memory completely charred.
 
 Here lies a ring, and a diamond chain
 Shattered like her heart.
 His watch was left out in the rain,
 Never again to start.
 
 Oh love that is a broken jewel,
 Dear time a frozen clock-
 Why do you make me a fool,
 This heart that is a rock?
