Something for Nothing
While floating in black darkness,
 I see the white light.
Only when my guard is down,
I put up my best fight.

 I can fly for miles
 Without using my wings.
Only when my mouth is shut
 I seem to softly sing.

 When I close my eyes,
I can see a brighter side.
Only when death whispers in my ear,
 I truly feel alive.
