I Go To The Woods By The Lake
rain on the roof
 tears on the floor
 sounds so intertwined
unseen by the slamming of the door

when is it alright to cry?
when the rain is pouring down?
so you cant see which is which
but cant you see my frown?

 scream! no, silence please
so i can hear the rain on the roof
and put my tears at ease

 running, running through the woods
the rain slanted at my face
i wipe my eyes even though you cant tell
i do it just in case

 stopping, breathing, crying still
 the rain pounds fast
my control was left on the window sill
thats where i saw it last

 sniff, cry, moan, sob
i can here though cuz of the rain
the rain does such a good job

 rain pour drown me please
so i can hear the rain on the roof and put my tears at ease
