i want your mouth on mine
and your hands in your pockets
and your eyes that surge like the sea
mermaid songs and melancholy brine.
i want the blues and the symphony
to miss you and kiss you
and the stars that shimmered on your skin
nineties music on the sunsoaked grass
and hearts that thud in harmony.
i want the rain that fell
and your crushed candy phrases
i want the sunny blue skies
and to look at you dizzy and dazzled
and to think it’s meant to be
more than phrases could tell.
