Some quotes I really like:

"Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies." -Aristotle
"Every man dies. Not every man really lives." -William Wallace
"Sanity is madness put to good use." -George Santayana

I feel your hate on my back.
And sometimes I feel I might crack
Under this heavy weight.
And I wish your anger would abate.

Your love surrounds me ever more.
I'm drowning in it, I can't see the shore.
How can you give so much love?
And sometimes, of hate, I think you heart is barren of.

Is it hate or is it love?
I see your watchful eyes above.
And are they filled with love or hate?
This yearning to know is an ever present weight.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem with a friend in mind. She used to be my best friend, but she changed and we grew apart. Or maybe it was me who changed. I may never know.

I don't have many favourite quotes , though I do love the truth that 'change is constant .'
For you , a thousand times over - Hassan , The Kite Runner
If you want to leave footprints in the sands of time , don't drag your feet - Rudyard Kipling

I like the way you've compared 'hate' to a 'heavy weight'.

I like the idea of the poem, but I'm not sure this poem completelybrings out that meaning..

Nice, though ( :
