From Bullet to Hockey Puck
They told me I was meant for a life of the rebellion
That I could never truly love someone
 As I just sit here
I let others control me like a puppet
I’m told over and over again that
I can’t love because of the life I’m living.

But you with your curves so smooth
The way you slide across the ice
 So perfectly like
The nighttime sky with the stars so bright
 You’ve been beaten down
I long for your embrace again
All I did was follow your every move
 But why?
This wall shouldn’t keep us apart any longer

 Some day I hope
I will find a way to the other side
 Where you lay
I will find my way to you
no matter how long it takes
I will be with you on the ice some day
Behind the wall that’s between us today.
