I Thought I knew you
I guess not
everything was good, or so it seemed
I should have seen right past you
but, my eyes could not
I shouldn't have decieved myself
into thinking there was a chance
a chance of something
something more than a friend.
But, in reality
even a friend was too much to ask
I tried and tried
for days on end
and all I got was the thing most dreaded
the silence you wish would be broken
the peace you wish would end
Even a fight would be better than loosing you
the thought you thought was most valued to you
turns to dust
and all over what
just a silly crush.
