I am from..
I am from cell phones,
 From Myspace and computers.
Where I am from a teenager is texting around every corner.
 I am from big sunglasses,
And kids that are never home.
I am from streets with cars filled with teenagers.
I am from backseats that are never clean.
And music that is always up too loud.

I am from dinners at Taco Bell,
 And McDonalds and Wendys.
I am from the young kids
Who want to grow up too fast.
 Where I am from
 Kids stay out too late
 Doing who knows what
 With who knows who.

I’m from the mall and shopping sprees,
 Parent’s credit cards.
I’m from a time where kids work all night
 Just to earn some money
 To have a fun life.
I‘m from the last summer before college
 Saying goodbye to friends
Some will never be seen again.
 Leaving home, on your own.
I’m from a time when kids move out at 18
Parents sad to see them go
But its time for them to be free.
