Children play with their spirits high.
They live each day without a care.
Little do they know that time is passing them by.

They learn the story about the boy who can fly.
To that boy growing up is just a silly dare.
Children play with their spirits high.

They take that trip past the second star in the sky,
And arrive in the land where the kids rule fair.
Little do they know that time is passing them by.

They spend nights fighting pirates with the lost boys acting so sly.
They spend their days dreaming of stories to share.
Children play with their spirits high.

So they take off with Peter Pan with just a good-bye.
They’re off to Neverland a place that is so very rare.
Little do they know that time is passing them by.

Just let them play without wondering why.
For growing up now is just a nightmare.
Children play with their spirits high.
Little do they know that time is passing them by.

The author's comments:
Peter Pan has always been one of my favorite movies/stories. As I grow up, I keep looking back thinking where all the time has gone. Now I'm starting to think that I can't be the only one who thinks this way.
