"The only thing we're allowed to do is hope that we won't regret the decision we made."

Who are you to judge me
You are the one to blame
For making that mistake
For choosing that path to take

I am my own person
I have my own soul
You and I are different
We both have our own goals

You need to stop cheating
Take responsibility for your own
I am no one to you
My face, I refuse to loan

Stop right there
Don’t take another step
Go backwards, start anew
Don’t make life harder for you

Be a good kid
Open your eyes
Do your homework
Strengthen your ties

Make new friends
Join our song
Dance and by joyful
All day long

You don’t need to
Reopen the past
You’re your own journey
You’re your own cast

Now change your ways
The path is wide open
Switch your direction
Make a revolution

Don’t be dull
Come and see sense
Relax your shoulders
Don’t be so tense

Everything’s there, you know
All you need is here
Alright, let me help you
Why don’t we be a pair

But first, I must ask
Do you even care?

Wow, I was pretty far off. What you said makes perfect sense.

Thanks for commenting!

The inspiration for the poem was brought by the fact that a lot of people in this world have no idea how to be ambitious, and judge themselves too freely with others. The important thing to know is that you are who you are, and that you shouldn't judge yourself to what others do.

The picture I first get when I reread my poem is a girl student telling another student- a lazy, foolish boy,- how to be a GOOD student.

This is a very well written poem; I applaud you for writing it so skilfully. Forgive me if I misinterpret, is it a tale of a disintegrated relationship? One is having trouble letting go, the other says 'Move on, will you?' I would love to know. Well done.
