Full of emptiness
Can't explain this empty feeling
 When the room is full
 Crowd suffocating my thoughts
Open my eyes but faces are blurred
 Vague expressions
 Unfamiliar voices
 Laughter rings
But I'm lost to the humor
For this dark cloud suppresses all life
 Causing happiness to vacate
Leaving shadows to embrace the light
 So this world remains unseen
For no joy or beauty can penetrate these walls
 I continue to look around
In the shade of my misery
 Seeing only
 Vague expressions
 Unfamiliar voices
And hearing the humorless laughter of my being
