Ode To My Best Friend
Blonde hair, green eyes;
 Who might this be,
 You ask?
 My best friend.
 Fourth grade
 Is when this all began.
 So many memories
 In such a short time.
 Endless inside jokes
That no one else would ever understand,
 Laughing at absolutely nothing
 For hours on end,
The piles and piles of notes
Hidden deep in the depths of our backpacks,
 Doing whatever we please
 Just because
 We can.
 To some,
 This friendship may seem perfect,
 But no matter how great,
 It still holds flaws.
Through the fights and the tears
She has never let me down.
 We've dealt with more
 Than even the most
 Admirable dreamers could not imagine.
We've been there through it all.
 We shall continue to have
 The times of our lives
 And never letting,
 What may seem to be,
 The most challenging of obstacles
 Get in our way.
