The rain pouring down,
Sounding on the roof above,
The reminder of all the mistakes you made
But never faced,
“The one” you prayed for
But never truly appreciated,
The thunder atop that mountain
Of obstacles you never overcame…
The ones you ignored for the “easy” life,
Even after it all I was there
And?
I am the lightning that woke you up,
And finally showed you true happiness.
