Amber Gold Dust
Amber gold dust
 Sprinkled on cabinets and floors.
 The wind blew the dust
 Right out the front door.
 Scattering, winking, and shining bright,
That dust brought to this place
 So much light.
 Golden glows encompass them there
 And people everywhere declared,
 “It’s a miracle, I swear!”

 Amber gold dust
 Spent yet not wasted
Lying inside that small darkened basement.
As years come and years go,
 Amber gold dust still
 Scattering, winking and shining bright,
Yet it’s never out of sight.
 For golden dust,
 When it scatters people declare,
“That damn dust everywhere gets in my eyes, I swear!”
