scream out
If I were a poem
I would explain how
my life can shatter any
day, just for saying who I am
If I were a poem
I will show you throw
out my words how
my life can hurt.
If I were a poem
At times it might be
all tears, but we are
all happy when I am
with all my peers.
If I were a poem
I would scream out
my feelings on how
I hate being who I am.
If I were a poem
I will show you how much
I fought not to be who I
am. At times I feel like
I’m still on that spot.
If I were a poem
I would wrap you in
my words the way I
would’ve loved for somebody
to do when I was having the
biggest war with myself.
If I were a poem
Day and night I cried hating
the way I was try to cover
myself with a mask that
wasn’t near being me.
If I were a poem
Everyday that pass
I realize more and
more who I am.
If I were a poem
Not I will show you
that my war is not against
me, but against those
who fear to be who they
really are mend to be.
If I were a poem
I would let you know that I
stand strong of what I
believe. I would scream without
a fear and tell you that
I’m proud of myself for being here!
