"God is in the rain," she said.
I didn't believe her.
But the I felt it,
The soft caress of rain against my face,
My body,
My soul.
Whispering, screaming,
Crying, laughing,
Loving, hating,
Living, dying,
All in one drop.
Thousands of drops fall like tears,
Whether of joy or sorrow I do not know,
But still they fall,
Fall on me.
I open my arms up to the sky to welcome them,
Let them into my soul and mind.
She smiles.
"God is in the rain..."

I actually got the idea for this poem from the movie V for Vendetta. In one part, it talks about God being in the rain, and I never forgot that part.

This is so wonderful and beautiful, I love how it tells a little story! I agree with Electricity and TheHandThatWieldsThePen that it's beautifully spiritual. LOVE IT!

I really like this one, it's spiritual in a way that isn'tpreachy or spiritual...if that makes sense. :-)

Wow, interesting. I like it a lot. Comparing God to rain is something I used to do. WHen ever it would rain, God was sad. When there was a storm, he was angry. Great poem, keep writing!
