Rage is welling up inside of me
Though filled with anger
My clenched fists remain still

Can you hear the screams from inside my heart?
Do you know what is coming?
Can you believe that fear causes this madness?

Though no one will see it
It lingers in my chest waiting to burst
Trying to escape but I hold it in

In my fear and rage I begin to weep
For my tormented soul yearns to be loved
And only then will the madness subside

You have just described what I feel sometimes too. When I'm angry I keep it inside and not sharing my feelings with anybody. I don't really realize that all I'm doing is building that anger up. Yea, sometimes my soul yearns for love and understanding too. Thnx for posting this up! Btw, it's me Jacob

"I am Happy to The Point of Fear" -Ralph Waldo Emmerson

This was very powerful Mr Spencer. At times, when reading poems, i wonder if the writer ever truly felt the emotions that he or she is writing about, but here is a perfect example of a poet who has been in this possition. You captured the agony and the desperation perfectly. Bravo
