for the men and boys

who treat women like toys

and make them feel

like being smaller is to feel

and make them act

make them skip lunch and wear baggy clothes

to run till they're sick

and numb to their toes

i used to do that

i used to weigh

myself every morning

oh you gained a pound?

you're not eating that day.

so here's a fun fact

for the monsters that call themselves men

wolves in their packs as they stare

at the women, so self aware

that her pants are too tight

and she didn't have dinner last night 

why are her pants so tight?

what defines us aren't who we are but

the sizes of the clothes on the racks

women are people too

it's stupid to say

but it's true

i shouldn't feel have to take up less space
