A silhouette of a predator's hunt
he stalks and waits
any chance to taste blood
canines that curve to a delicate point
his mind is a master of the dark
she sleeps so deeply
as he enters her room
her beauty astounds him
he hesitates to feed
in the end her beauty
defeats his greed
so when morning comes
and the angel awakes
she will not know her life
was almost erased
