Barbie Dream House
She was always mature for her age.
Always “a pleasure to have in class”
“We don’t have to worry about her!”
She lived the Barbie Dream Life.
When she was five,
it was “Check Grandma’s blood sugar”
When she was five,
She worried she would wake up
Without the only person who cared for her
The only person that loved,
Hugged, and
Kissed her
When she was eight,
It was “Grandma was taken to the hospital again”
When she was eight,
She spent every night watching her person
Suffer in pain with no help.
When she was eight,
Her person passed away.
When she was 16,
She was bubbly
When she was 16,
She thought nothing could break her.
When she was 16,
Her person passed.
The person who always checked on her
The person who played silly jokes to make her laugh
Her person was only 26.
When she was 16,
She became broken.
People think she is mature for her age
That she lives in a Barbie Dream House
In reality,
She is broken.
She is 18 now.
Going off to college
She is mature now,
Finally her own age.
-She is me.
