The girl in the white dress
Girl in the white dress, why do you dance alone,
and how do you dance as if you are the only one there?
The girls in red laugh, point, and mock you,
But you still dance like no one is watching you.
The band plays, strums, and beats on for you
because when you dance they are watching you.
You are the brightness in the darkness.
You cast a shadow that makes you larger than life.
You make everything else in the world standstill,
the guitars on the wall, the girls in red, the band.
To the girl in the white dress,
let me dance with you,
Like it's only us left in the world.
