Quiet Nature
Beautiful things
are hidden
where words cannot be found.
Beside the sound
of rustling trees and
floral petals
nestled
near the ground.
Lavender waters,
greens
on pinks
and whites
and reds.
Solitary thoughts of
things unsaid.
Spring has sprung.
And now its left
with fallen petals,
frozen waters,
icy breath.
And here I am —
Among what’s left.
Lack of color,
lack of breath.
Still beauty doesn’t rest.
