It stares down from the telephone wire

Black eyes bore holes through the people below

It observes the fickle clash of desires

As people dance along to the song of the crow

Dark feathers rustle as it unfurls its wings

Its silhouette blocks the light of the sun

As it soars through the air, soft and quiet it sings

And the threads of the day come undone
